Bloody Amusing

On Friday I was in my office when my secretary knocked on my door and presented me with a package, delivered by campus mail. I opened the package and found a glass slide, along with a note from my hematopathologist colleague and friend:

"Here's a bone marrow smear that I thought you would enjoy. Merry Christmas!"

Best. Present. Ever.

[Why? Because not only do I get a kick out of a particularly good bone marrow preparation but I also use bone marrow smears in some of my teaching.]
