Three Weeks Later

Has it already been three weeks?

Has it only been three weeks?

A friend said it best in an email:

"It's not supposed to be easy. If the death of a beloved pet ever becomes no big deal, I'll know there's something terribly wrong with my heart and that I should never have a cat again. The measure of our grief is the measure of our love. It's the price we pay. Much as it hurts, I think I would rather suffer through it than to miss out on the joy of my cats."

Well said. Especially the last sentence.

I miss you, my crazy, quirky buddy. I miss you so very much.

More hugs.

It took me ages to feel better after Mr. K died in January. I still cry myself to sleep about him sometimes, 9 months later. I think your friend is right about measure of grief...

Take care.

Dr.K. I'm so sorry this hurts so much for you. Time will not ever take away the memories (thank goodness) but it will work to heal the heart.

(((Hugs)))

Oh, I almost forgot

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This year you can be thankful for your tenure sailing through step #1. And also for the fact that kitty no longer feels any pain.
