One day later ...
Greatest post-operative challenge: preventing kitty from licking, biting or scratching his sutures while attempts at putting an e-collar around his neck stresses kitty so much that he ends up dry heaving with his little pink tongue hanging out. I have become an attentive 24-hour nurse but I am feeling like a very bad and helpless kitty mummy.

I am sooo happy he is home and recovering. Yes, the price we pay for who we love is always worth it. I hope you are also feeling much better now that it is all over.
I am at son's but had to check in to see how kitty was doing.
